Participation in the Stejari Interior Design Competition – Reception and Bar Concept 🌳🌳🌳🏛️✨
We were privileged to participate in the Stejari Interior Design Competition, which invited proposals for the interior design of the reception area and bar within the newly developed events hall. The brief emphasized the need to articulate spaces that balance functionality with representational value, offering guests both comfort and a sense of distinction.
Our proposal was structured around two alternative scenarios—a minimal option and a maximal option—allowing for flexibility in terms of budget allocation while maintaining coherence in atmosphere and design intent. Both variants sought to define a warm, welcoming, and contemporary character, achieved through the use of natural textures, green tonalities, and carefully orchestrated lighting strategies.
For the bar, the design emphasized an immersive, convivial ambiance, enriched by warm materials, vegetal accents, and subtle lighting effects that reinforce the connection between interior comfort and the natural imagery associated with Stejari. For the reception, the spatial composition was conceived as a statement of elegance and prestige: a monumental gesture that establishes the identity of the events hall, balancing openness with a sense of gravitas. The contrast between the intimate, lush atmosphere of the bar and the imposing quality of the reception creates a complementary spatial narrative, guiding guests from the first moment of arrival to the core of the event experience.
Through this dual proposal, we aimed to demonstrate how interior architecture can negotiate between economic efficiency and spatial generosity, ensuring that both the minimal and maximal approaches achieve a consistent architectural language. Each solution, whether restrained or opulent, underscores the role of design as a medium through which atmosphere, materiality, and identity converge to elevate the quality of public interior space.
